Besoiu Sorin, born in Cluj-Napoca, graduated the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca with the specialization of Mechatronics in 2004. He studied postuniversity studies with the specialization Advanced Methods in Engineering and Quality Assurance Management (MMAIMAC).
Since 2004 he started his activity as PhD student at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, at the Department of Mechanisms, Precision Mechanics and Mechatronics, performing research activities and also didactic activities. In 2010 he obtained the title of Doctor in Mechanical Engineering, elaborating the PhD thesis entitled “Research on Mechatronic Actuation Systems based on Artificial Pneumatic Muscle” under the scientific guidance of Prof.dr.ing. Vistrian Maties.
Since 2008 he started his teaching at the Department of Mechanisms, Fine Mechanics and Mechatronics (currently the Department of Mechatronics and Dynamics of Machines) as a university assistant, and since 2013 he is a lcturer within the same department.
He holds the courses in Mechanisms and Microcontroller discipline. Supports laboratory and project activities in the following disciplines: Mechanisms, Microcontrollers, Mechatronics Systems Design, Automated Industrial Processes Equipment, Reliability and Maintenance of Precision Systems (Master) and Reliability and Maintenance mechatronic systems (master).
