Research

The department carries out a sustained research activity in priority areas at national and international level, such as: Mechanisms and Machine Dynamics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Biomechatronics, Educational Technologies. On the structure of the department were accredited the following research structures:
– Mechatronics and Energy Laboratory;
– Intelligent Reconfigurable Systems Research Laboratory;
– Advanced Mechatronic Systems Laboratory;

The material basis for didactic and research activities ensures the materialization of the established basic principles: “learning through practice” and “learning through research”. These approaches favor interdisciplinarity as the basis for stimulating initiative and creativity.
